Connor M.
Eagle
June 9, 2014
For my Eagle Scout Project, Connor mounted 14 wooden housings into concrete fixtures around the grounds of his church, Church of St. Pius X, to house Stations of the Cross that had been previously retired following an earlier Church renovation.
He led 42 volunteers in digging 14 12-cubic foot holes, mounting steel posts into the holes, pouring 6,000 pounds of concrete, and securing the wooden housings to the steel poles. With the help of his fellow scouts from Troop 4 as well as other friends, over the course of a cumulative 176 man-hours we successfully completed the project in three weeks, two weeks fewer than anticipated. Now, parishioners will see the mounted Stations around St. Pius X for decades to come.
