About Troop 4

Troop 4 in Scarsdale, NY builds teenagers of character by following the long-tested ways of Scouting.  Our Scouts get lots of support from each other and the adults in the Troop. We work together, learn from one another and follow the Scout Law (A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverant) as we follow the trail to Eagle.

Boys and girls from 11 to 17 are welcome to be part of the Troop. This year, several girls have joined our Troop.The girls participate in the same activities as the boys. They typically go to meetings and events together. However, sometimes the girls and the boys are separated to do activities on their own.

Parents are actively involved in supporting the Troop and all leaders are parent/guardian volunteers. All adults active in the Troop must have Youth Protection Training. This training is offered online at my.scouting.org and must be renewed every two years. Many adult volunteers often decide to obtain other optional trainings such as Troop Committee Training, Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills or others.
