Payment Options
-
Make the check payable to "BSA Troop 4 Scarsdale NY".
-
Please write the Scout name(s) in the notes section of the check.
-
Give it to a leader of the Troop.
What is included?
Dues are necessary so there is enough money to cover the expected costs of providing Scout programs throughout the year. All the adult leaders are volunteers.
Scout Accounts will be used to pay for a Scout’s share of food, registration fees and other possible costs for the campouts and other events that Scout attends. When a Scout Account goes below $30, we will ask for you to replenish the account in order to maintain a minimum of $30. At the end of the Scouting year, you can either roll over any remainder or get a refund.
Specifically, the dues cover the following:
-
Charter Registration and Insurance (through the Scouts BSA)
-
Cost of gear for troop events (tents, cooking gear, etc...)
-
All the badges your Scout earns throughout the year
Dues do not cover:
-
Personal camping gear (e.g. sleeping bag, mess kit, flashlight...)
-
Uniforms
