IN ORDER TO JOIN SCOUTS BSA, YOU MUST BE 11 YEARS OLD OR HAVE COMPLETED FIFTH GRADE OR EARNED THE ARROW OF LIGHT AWARD AND BE AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD.
Ready to Join?

Follow these steps:

Register with my.scouting.org. You will be asked to create an online account for yourself before registering your youth. Note your BSA number, you will need it later. There is a National BSA registration fee of $170, which you can pay online when you use the online form.

Submit $150 to Troop 4 to start your "Scout Account" (described below), using a payment option below.

Complete a BSA Annual Medical Form. Parts A & B are required upon joining.

Make the check payable to "BSA Troop 4 Scarsdale NY".

Give it to a leader of the Troop.
Scout Accounts
​
Scout Accounts will be used to pay for a Scout’s share of food, registration fees and other possible costs for the campouts and other events that Scout attends. When a Scout Account goes below $30, we will ask for you to replenish the account in order to maintain a minimum of $30. At the end of the Scouting year, you can either roll over any remainder or get a refund.

Please note: Troop 4 covers the costs of shared gear for troop events, such as tents, cooking gear, etc. However, Scouts must purchase their own personal camping gear, such as sleeping bags, mess kits, flashlights, etc.
